Organic green tea
After the freshly picked leaves have wilted, briefly heating, roasting or steaming them prevents fermentation. This is why almost all the active substances of the fresh leaf are preserved and their conversion into aroma compounds is stopped. Like black tea, green tea is rolled as well, here only to make the leaf supple for further processing and to open the way for its substances into the cup.
Store in a dry place, protected from heat.
Preparation: pour 1/4 litre of boiling water over one teaspoon of herbs and leave to steep, covered, for 3 to 5 minutes.
